Celebrate the End of Dry January

We decided to go dry this January. What does that mean? Zero alcohol for the entire month! Why? Various reasons. It’s a good mental and physical reset after overindulging during the holidays. However, it’s almost February & time to celebrate… in moderation of course!

We wanted to share a few our favorite places for an adult beverage:

Alamo Drafthouse: Glass Half Full

Sure, you go to Alamo to see a movie, but have you hung out in their bar? It’s large, lots of indoor/outdoor seating, TVs, light music, trivia, a great place to play board games, etc. with a wide variety of drinks from beer, boozy shakes, cocktails, & wine. They also have a great happy hour!
LITL Recommendations: Mambo Margarita (frozen sangria swirl), French 75, Karbach Beer

Burklee Hill Vineyards

What’s better than wine, good food, & live music. Burklee Hill is located in the historic Kress building in Downtown Lubbock. Very cool art deco vibe and fun atmosphere.
LITL Recommendations: Newsome VIneyard’s Malbec, Pinot Grigio, Wine Chilton

Claraboya

Located inside the DoubleTree Hotel at 505 Ave Q. We really like the vibe here. It’s cozy, good lighting, a few TVs, not overly loud, great food, great service, and creative drinks.
LITL Recommendations: Old Smokey, Raspberry Drop

Table 82

We like Table 82 because you pick your adventure. The restaurant is broken up into four different sections; fancy dining, upscale bar, sports bar, and outdoor patio. They have a large wine selection, beer, cocktails, & happy hour. We enjoy hanging out on a nice Lubbock evening on the patio with live music.
LITL Recommendation: Lavender Lemon Drop Martini

The Plaza

Tex Mex! Cheese! Chips! Happy Hour! Lots and lots of margaritas.
LITL Recommendations: Sangria Swirl, Jalapeno Margarita
