Location: 1636 13th
Vibe: It has a great atmosphere with friendly service. Be sure to check out the Dirk West original artwork and memorabilia on the walls! Plenty of tables & a bar top with TVs. Given the acoustics in the restaurant, it can get pretty loud. Perfect for a fun meal after a Texas Tech game or before a play at Lubbock Community Theater.
Offerings: Signature chicken dishes, chicken fried steak strips, Nashville hot chicken, Korean fried chicken, fresh oysters & okra, and a la carte sides including cheddar grits, fries, mashed potatoes, Brussel sprouts, green beans, collard greens, gumbo, & Cajun creamed corn.
Check out brunch on Sundays from 11:00am until 2:00pm. You don’t want to miss the chicken tenders with a glazed donut!
If you’re a cocktail fan, they’ve got a great cocktail program with a variety of tequilas, gin, vodka, fresh ingredients, etc… They also offer beer & wine.
LITL Recommends: Share a couple of platters & a bunch of sides! Portions are large so we recommend splitting so you can try a lot of the menu. We love the cheddar grits and mashed potatoes. For craft cocktails, we love the No. 9 which is tequila, lime, orgeat, orange liquor, and cinnamon. The No. 43 is also deliciously refreshing! Gin, lavender, lemon, and luxardo maraschino liquor. Heck, even Alton Brown has enjoyed their creative drinks!
