Lubbock in the Loop is proud to showcase Kelle B Designs in today’s feature. The LITL team had the pleasure of sitting down with Kelle Barnard, owner and fantastic person, to discuss more about the passion behind the work. We appreciate her time, and here’s more about Kelle B… in her own words:
Our mission at Kelle B Designs is to design personalized living environments, heartfelt floral designs for special occasions, and craft the purest mix of fruit, love and comfort contained in a little jam jar. We hope to help people realize their full potential by indulging in the simple pleasures of life while aiding those in need of a creative spark, to create excitement and exploration in their lives by focusing on the small details that can make life more authentic.
Home by Kelle B, my interior decorating firm (which also includes a line of refurbished furniture, Redeemed Relics), was started in a desire to help clients create a home that reads 100% who they are as a person, couple, or family. When I complete a project, I want it to be beyond the outcome they had hoped for and look like their personalities have come to life in their home, not look like another “Kelle B Home.” I love using my clients’ treasures to create a haven they are happy to enjoy and show off for years to come!
Flowers by KelleB is a boutique bridal and events floral design business where I try to create unique moments that highlight the clients taste and personalities through flowers. I love creating texture and depth in my arrangements and always having that unique touch that takes it over the top and speaks to something unique about the person I’m designing for. I say it often and mean it every time, but I’m honored to be a part of such special occasions in my clients’ lives!
And last, but not least, my hobby turned craft food business KelleB Jammin’. Over the last year, this jammin’ business has really taken off! It all started when I began cooking jam out of my kitchen for friends and family, then started selling my jams at the Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market, and now, on to the wholesale and online food world! I’ve managed, thankfully, to get lots of my fruit locally thanks to the Southplains Food Bank GRUB Farm and I’ve been selling the jams wholesale in local shops such as Barque, Glazed Honey Ham Co., and area wineries like Caprock and McPherson! My goal this year is to boost my own retail sales locally and through my online shop, return to the farmers market this spring and create new relationships with local farm-to-table restaurants to craft unique recipes that highlight the many ways to indulge in jam!
I highlight all these businesses on my weekly blog and even though I’ve been doing it for several years, I still find it hard to consider myself a blogger, but in fact, I am! Also, I’m thrilled to announce a new line of lifestyle how-to workshops that cover subjects such as floral arranging, wreath making, cooking, crafts, decorating, furniture rehab and much more! My first workshop, Kelle B’s Valentine Flower Workshop, will be all about how to create a nontraditional flower arrangement for your Valentine! It will be held Thursday, February 11, 6:30pm-7:30pm at the Kelle B Designs Studio on 315 82nd Street. Spots are limited so sign up so you can snag your seat! If you don’t happen to make this workshop, fear not, there will be more classes coming up soon! Hope to see you there for some serious fun with flowers!
