What’s the sign of a good restaurant? For starters, setting yourself apart from all the other ones by implementing a unique concept, innovative menu selections and great service. Enter King Street Pub and Queen of Tarts Bakery & Cheese Shop! This duo of eateries is owned by Sally Good (remember Manna Bread and Wine, anyone? She owned that, too!) with her daughter, Sara North, as the head chef. (If you ever ate at The Pickle and The Pig or Brunch at Stonegate, then you already know and love Chef Sara’s food.) And both the restaurant and the bakery/cheese shop are like nothing Lubbock has ever seen before! Let the pictures below set the scene, then go try out these delicious spots! Support local.

Their motto boasts Tex-Eclectic Fare with Victorian Flair. (After all, owner Sally Good is a retired English professor.) The decor is fabulous, and the pieces are from the owner’s personal collection. The restaurant offers a large, private room great for meetings or celebrations. A projector and screen are available in this room. There is another unique private room dedicated to double dates! A four-top table is accompanied by a large sofa. Lounge here and enjoy a bottle of wine before dinner! Make reservations for either of these rooms, or just general dining, by calling 806.993.1010.
