Location: 1718 Buddy Holly, Suite B (look for the green awning)
Vibe: Welcome to the Wild Wild West! Introducing the newest addition to Lubbock’s nightlife scene- Shotgun Sue’s Saloon! This recently opened bar is already making waves with its rustic charm, western music, and lively atmosphere. Located in the heart of the Depot District, the saloon has a long, classic bar and several tables. It’s not a huge establishment, so can fill up fast. There are also a couple of TVs with either sports or a classic western show. Be sure to follow their social media for the live music schedule.
Offerings: Specialty cocktails/elixirs created by classic barkeeps in aprons with handlebar mustaches. They will also offer beer and wine (coming soon). So, what did we try? We of course had to try the Instagram-worthy Amsterdam which is made with rum from Lubbock’s own distillery, Pinkerton’s, Licor 43, and fresh grape juice with a large citrus bubble added by the bartender at your table. See pictures below for the full menu!
We also wanted to note that menus light up when you open them and we thought that was super cool.
