Location on 67th and Indiana COMING SOON!
When I think of Sugar Brown’s, fond memories from high school and college flood my mind. Many nights of studying and checkers playing occurred at the 50th Street location. Many Lubbockites were bummed when it closed for several years. With the support of a Kickstarter campaign, a new location sprouted on 19th, and has now been open for a few years — but we thought it was deserving of another reminder of its greatness.
Sugar Brown’s is likely one of the most hipster places in town. On any given night, you can catch live music, storytelling, poetry, and art. There are all types of seating, both indoor and outdoors. It is great for groups or for a party of two. The coffee is high quality with options of cold brew, drip, slow bar, espresso, lattes, and teas. Prices range from $2.50-$4.50. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of fresh in-house pastries and treats. The baristas are very knowledgeable of the coffee process and possess a unique talent of creating beautiful coffee drinks.
LITL Tips: Get a picture in front of the Made in LBK mural on the side of the building! Try the cold brew with a shot of vanilla. Enjoy a night of live music and art during the First Friday Art Trail.
