Urban Bricks Pizza
7610 Milwaukee ave
Sun-Thurs 11am-pm, Fri-Sat 11am-10pm
The concept is a basic pizza assembly line. Choose your crust (white, wheat, gluten), a sauce (red, spicy red, white, garlic, olive oil), cheese (cheddar, Gorgonzola, feta, mozzarella, ricotta, Parmesan, vegan), meat (chicken, sausage, pepperoni, meatball, bacon, Canadian bacon, chorizo, salami, etc.), popular toppings such as pineapple, almonds, garlic, cranberries, onion, banana peppers, and drizzle/dipping sauce (buffalo, ranch, pesto, olive oil, chipotle, Italian, Greek, Caesar, chianti) to top it all off. Keep in mind: it is unlimited toppings! Try the “Foundation Pizzas” if you want to try an Urban Bricks-suggested combos.
The picture below is mozzarella, feta, pepperoni, and Italian sausage on wheat crust. The crust is slightly burnt to perfection with a thin & crispy style. The drizzle is buffalo sauce and I mixed some ranch to add a creamy taste. The pizza was very filling and could have easily been shared between two people. The sauce is light and not chunky.
The price may seem a little high, but pretty reasonable compared to other local and chain pizza places. $7.99 gets you a large (8 slice, unlimited topping) brick oven pizza. Build your own salads are about $6. Desserts (Nutella, banana, cinnamon pie) are $5, and garlic cheesesticks are $5. Delivery average is about 30 minutes, $20 minimum, with a $2 delivery fee. Urban Bricks also offers a drive-thru which is quite convenient.
The Urban Bricks vibe is “hip” with craft beers, wine, TVs, and a small patio. The interior is bright green with a large mural of random pictures. There is bar seating and tables, plus free WiFi.
