Atmosphere
Pub-like with a high-top bar, and outside seating. The dog-friendly patio is great for people watching and is equipped with heaters for chilly nights. Multiple TVs inside and outside with corn hole on the patio. WOB can accommodate large groups and is a great hangout spot. The live music, comedy nights, and trivia nights also add to a fun atmosphere! Great place to watch sports, especially Texas Tech!
Drinks
As the name suggests, it’s a “World of Beer.” Beer from all over the world: light and dark, bottles and drafts. Ambers, Belgians, Ciders, Lager, IPA, English, Ale, Porter, Pilsner, Wheat, and many, many, many more. If you want to try a variety, we suggest getting a flight. Brewing companies from all over Texas (ie Deep Ellum, Karbach) often stop by with tastings and freebies. The LITL team consists of a beer lover and a beer hater. For all of you other beer haters, there are plenty of cocktails. Try the strawberry caipiroska. It is made with Texas vodka and fresh muddled strawberries & lime.
Eats
The menu is probably what you expect from a tavern. Pretzels, sliders, tacos, flatbreads, burgers, salad, soups, sweets, and several other items. May we suggest the burger and steak fries or the chicken taco. The prices are reasonable (maybe a little bit high), but the portions are large. Taste is relative so try it for yourself. Our opinion: decent food, but the focus is on the atmosphere and drinks. The menu is large so let us know what your favorites are!
Specials & Events
WOB always seems to have a special going on each day of the week. Happy Hour is Mon-Fri 3pm-7pm, Sun-Thurs 10pm-close. Service Industry Night is Sunday 3pm-close, Monday 3pm-close is $5 burger & brat night. Also, don’t miss BEERunch (credit to WOB for the catchy name) on Sundays from 11am-2pm.
